Hi, I’m MFV, the founder and voice behind PoliCouture, a space where politics gets personal, big ideas intertwine with everyday life, and no interest is too frivolous to matter. I created PoliCouture as a response to a world that often tells us to pick sides: to be either substantial or stylish, analytical or creative. Here, I believe you can—and should—be all of these things.
PoliCouture is a platform dedicated to exploring the intersections of politics, economics, and societal systems through a uniquely feminine lens. My goal is to unpack the complexities of capitalism, current events, and power structures while celebrating the joy found in the softer, more creative sides of life. For too long, we’ve measured relevance by a narrow standard that excludes the interests and contributions of women. Let’s change the narrative and redefine what “serious” means, recognizing that what women create, enjoy, and contribute — from couture to community-building — drives economies, shapes cultures, and changes lives. From the global impact of fashion to the policy lessons baked into your favorite dessert recipe, this blog explores how the feminine is woven into every facet of life — and why it matters (think of it as a think tank with great taste).
Our Mission
PoliCouture was born out of a desire to challenge the status quo. Our mission is to empower readers to think critically, engage meaningfully, and embrace the beauty of duality: being informed and stylish, bold and compassionate, grounded and imaginative.
Through thought-provoking articles, and creative commentary, I aim to make conversations about power and policy accessible and inspiring. Whether we’re dissecting the latest policy changes or exploring the economics of your favorite recipe, PoliCouture is here to remind you that brains and beauty are never mutually exclusive.
Welcome to PoliCouture, my small corner of the internet— where big ideas and bold style come together. I’m thrilled to have you on this journey of discovery and discussion.
XO
